Love Language

God is love. (1 John 4:8)

Thank you Father, that summed up in "one" word "above all the others"...the essence of Your holiness manifests itself in love.
Increase our love for You and one another.

We love because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19)

Now it's our turn. We, knowing the love of Christ, bear the burden of extending that love...being the first to offer the greatest gift we have to give. Help us to "receive Your love and be filled" that we might have such a love to give away.

While we were still sinners, He died for us. (Romans 5:8)

Your mercy endures forever. You didn't wait for all the world to become perfect or deserving before You loved us. You gave away the one thing that mattered most to You, to love us while we were "broken and imperfect" people in a world desperate for someone to care.

Love is the bond of perfection.(Colossians 3:14)

You know that our trying to perfectly follow the rules is not what will hold together our hearts.
Open the eyes of our hearts to acknowledge that the only thing that is strong enough to hold our hearts together and
bear the weight of the world and the fiery trials that come against us, is love.

Love covers a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8)

As You have covered us, may we cover one another - in love - never exposing one another's vulnerabilities or weaknesses, but in love, covering situations with love, that Your power to breakthrough, contain, heal and restore may be present and operating in the most unlikely but most needed situations.

There is no fear in love, because perfect love drives out fear. (1 John 4:18)

As we love more, we will fear less. As we choose to love, we choose to trust...and as we trust You, we release the power of love itself...the power that is strong enough to deliver from darkness into light ...to overcome the world and it's ways...to live on in eternity and reign with the One who reigns supreme.

...and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Romans 13:9) And above all things have fervent love for one another...(1 Peter 4:8) Abide in faith, hope and love; the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Grateful to have access to Your "undying" love, we give You glory and we say thank You Father for loving us so deeply and completely. May we never forget that above all things, the greatest thing" is love.
May we always move and breath "in" love and "through" love, knowing that if we have everything but are lacking love, we have nothing...but if we have nothing, and yet have love - we have everything.

In Your Son's Most Precious Name We Pray,
Amen
